st. paul's, worthing

RIDE play a one-off full band acoustic show in the stunning St. Paul's, Worthing. This intimate show offers a rare chance to see the band play songs from their back catalogue, Weather Diaries & eminent EP, Tomorrow's Shore, up-close and acoustic

Produced by the Erol Alkan, new album ‘Weather Diaries’ is packed with all the classic elements that made Ride one of the defining bands of the early ‘90s. The album was greeted by a raft of critical and fan acclaim on its release in June 2017 through Wichita Recordings. Trembling distortion, beautiful harmonies, pounding rhythms, shimmering soundscapes and great songwriting all combine to make an album that’s ambitious in scope, timeless and thoroughly addictive. Forthcoming EP 'Tomorrrow's Shore' (out 16th Feb) continues the fruitful collaboration with Alkan, and like 'Weather Diaries', sees the band reunited with label co-founders Dick Green and Mark Bowen at Wichita, who worked with Ride during the band’s early years on Creation Records. Both records also brings the band back together with mixer Alan Moulder (Arctic Monkeys, Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers), who mixed their seminal 1990 album ‘Nowhere’ and produced it’s follow up ‘Going Blank Again’.

After a lengthy hiatus, Ride reformed in 2014. Comprised of Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Loz Colbert, and Steve Queralt, the band sold out headline tours around the world to a plethora of critical acclaim, as well as show stopping turns at festivals including Coachella, Primavera and Field Day. 2017 has seen Ride go on to play rapturously received shows all over the globe, with many memorable performances taking in BBC 6 Music Festival, Glastonbury, Pitchfork Chicago and Paris as well as Summer Sonic in Japan and a London Forum show to round off the 'Weather Diaries' tour

Support comes from fellow ex- Creation Records artists Pete Fij Terry Bickers (Adorable / House of Love) whose recent critically acclaimed album 'We Are Millionaires' drew comparisons to Richard Hawley, and The Jesus & Mary Chain
